Cacao & Coconut Protein Balls
Low in sugar, high in good stuff
The perfect afternoon pick me up or afternoon dinner treat. They’re high in protein, omega 3 fatty acids and very low in sugar. Ideal for sustained energy and cognitive function throughout the day.
This recipe makes 18-22 bite sized balls.
If you can’t be fagged rolling them into balls, you can always press them into a flat container slice them up once cold.
Chia seeds - a great plant source of protein and omega 3 fatty acids. Terrific for plant based diets.
Substitutes
Any nut or seed butter will work. I always looked for all natural ingredients with no sugar.
Pepita & chia could be subbed for other seeds or grains. Such as; oats, buckwheat, sunflower seeds or flaxseeds.
Maple syrup could be subbed for honey or other natural sweetener
