Throughout the the year Holistic Sister host’s ‘wellness’ workshops aligning with the change of seasons. Designed to promote health conscious living through movement, seasonal nutrition, mindfulness, open discussions, and banquet of delicious food and drinks.
Each underpinning theme resonating with the time of year in Victoria. Aligning with mother natures perfectly orchestrated intentions.
We explore how our modern ways of living often defies nature, and the negative effects this may impose on our physical, mental and emotional well-being. And how to better align ourselves with our innate way of living.
Each workshop boasts good food, great conversation and collective intelligence.

Winter wellness

This winter solstice we invite you to join us for an afternoon of Winter Wellness at Holistic Sister.
This year the underpinning theme is Nourish. Drawing inspiration from the Danish philosophy of Hygge (Hue-guh). Hygge is mindful practice of simply enjoying the small things in life, whilst embracing the present and reducing stress. These practices are most notable in winter when the sky sheds no light for months at a time.
Hygge may simply be; enjoying a warm drink by the fire with friends, creating ambient light with candles, or wrapping yourself up in a beautiful warm scarf before embracing the cool night air. And of course, nourishing the body and soul with heartwarming seasonal foods.
Nourish will be facilitated by Holistic Sister's founder Georgie Gorman, along side residence nutritionist Julia Balci, and 'Miss Femme' Bridget Allan (Intuitive Life Coach).
As a feminine collective we will commence the afternoon with a grounding guided visualisation meditation, followed by toasty immune boosting drinks over conversation around wellness through winter.
We'll discuss how to support your immune system; keep common infections, illness' and SAD at bay with winter nutrition advice and lifestyle, while enjoying a feast of seasonal home cooked meals and spicy mulled wine.
We'll close the afternoon with yin yoga, guided by the divine Janelle Kingsley. And a final offer to come together over a glass of wine at a warm local establishment.
