Choc Almond Fat Bombs
I firmly believe that to develop new healthy eating habits and behaviours, you need to learn how to prepare delicious food, fast. But not only that, you need foundational recipes that are easily modified to your taste preferences and what your fridge/pantry has to offer on the day.
Which is why, you will notice so many of my recipes provide alternative options and suggestions to making them work for you.
This one is no exception.
Essentially, the recipe is just solidified coconut oil. How you flavour it, is completely up to you.
I’m a sucker for anything chocolatey, but I encourage you to get creative.
Here are some suggestions
Choc & Goji Berry | Choc & Macadamia | Maple Peanut Butter | Choc & Peanut Butter | Choc Coconut.
Ingredients
1/3 cold pressed coconut oil
1/3 cup almond butter
2 heaped tbsp raw cacao
2 tbsp pure maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of sea salt
Method
Place all ingredients in a small saucepan and stir on a very low heat until silky smooth. Them immediately remove from heat. Cooking too long will cause the fat to seperate from the other ingredients.
Gently pour mixture into small silicon moulds and freeze for at least 1 hour.
Keep stored in fridge or freezer. Avoid travelling with them, as they will melt very quickly if warm.
